Alder Cones are natural aquarium botanicals ideal for freshwater aquariums, shrimp tanks, betta tanks, and blackwater setups. They gradually release tannins that add a warm amber tint and a natural botanical look.
Scatter them around driftwood and leaf litter, or place them in a mesh filter bag to release tannins without displaying the cones. Their textured surfaces also provide space for biofilm that shrimp can graze on.
